Kuala Lumpur: Ahmad Maslan, who has taken charge as the new Secretary-General of Barisan Nasional (BN), has said that Annuar Musa was not sacked but replaced. Yesterday, Musa was fired from his position and replaced Maslan with immediate effect in the party meeting.
In a press conference, Maslan said Annuar was not fired from the post of BN Secretary-General, instead replaced, including his position in Muafakat Nasional (MN).
He also said that UMNO President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi also expressed his gratitude to Musa for his service as BN and MN secretary.
Meanwhile, Musa also reacted to Maslan’s statement, saying, “Thank you Tok Mat (Ahmad Maslan) …. wise … it is worth it.”
