Kuala Lumpur: Former BN secretary-general Annuar Musa hit out at Umno Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan for sending a letter to the Member of Parliament urging a sitting to be held in the near future.
According to Annuar, the action can be interpreted as an attempt to disobey Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s state of emergency order which was imposed on 12 January.
He added that the actions of the Pontian Member of Parliament were also never discussed or decided by the party, in fact, it contradicted the statement of Umno President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
“If it has ‘upheld the order’, and that is the party’s decision, why did YB Dato Seri try to turn his back on the Party President’s official statement”? Musa said.
