BN deputy president Mohamad Hasan has been appointed as the new party election director with immediate effect after Umno supreme council member Tajuddin Abdul Rahman removed by UMNO president.
Meanwhile, Tajuddin, who was appointed as party election director last year in November, said that he was not even aware of his sacking from the post.
Speaking with FMT, the Pasir Salak lawmaker said that his son-in-law informed him about his dismissal. Tajuddin also said that he has no idea the reason behind his removal.
The move comes days after Tajuddin’s remark against party leadership, wherein he had said in a leaked video that this is not a right time to withdraw support for PM Muhyiddin Yassin.
