Opposition lawmakers, including PKR chief Anwar Ibrahim, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, Muda chief Syed Saddiq, Jerlun MP Mukhriz Mahathir, Bagan MP Lim Guan Eng were the top faces who gathered at the Dataran Merdeka, Kula Lumpur, to protest against the Muhyiddin Yassin led PN government. The opposition leaders and protesters are demanding resignation of Prime Minister and his entire cabinet.

Anwar, Dr M, and Syed Saaq and many opposition leaders delivered speeches at the Dataran Merdeka and demanded Muhyiddin Yassin government to step down.
It was the first such anti-government rally since the pandemic began. More than 100 MPs were there in the rally and made their points. Protestors were shouting “Hidup Rakyat” and “Reformasi” during the rally.
During the rally, Anwar said that the PM has lost his legitimacy and the government violates the royal decree and wishes of the people. Anwar also attacked the Speaker, saying that he has lost legitimacy and it seems that his duty is just to save Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
