Big Bitcoin Fraud In Pahang! Woman Loses RM45,000

A-56-year-old Pahang woman lost all her saving amounting to RM45,000 after being deceived by bitcoin investments. The Head of the Pahang Commercial Crime Investigation Department said in a statement that the victim was said to be interested in investing after seeing an advertisement and continued to register with a company for investment purposes.

According to authority, the victim, who is a housewife, went blind after she received a call from a scammer named David Kaminsky, informing her that the investment money would be doubled by hundreds of thousands if interested in investing.

The report said that on 27 July, at 4.32 pm, the victim transferred RM30,000 through a bitcoin application. While the next day, the victim deposited another RM15,000 through the same bitcoin.

Authority said that last Monday, the victim received a call from one David Kaminsky asking for RM50,000 for the purpose of paying profit tax.

The suspect claimed that the victim would get an investment profit of RM480,000 if he entered the money as requested.

“However, the victim ignored the request because her savings had been depleted and she began to suspect that she had been cheated.

Following that, the victim came forward to lodge a report at the Kuantan District Police Headquarters on Tuesday afternoon.
