Kuala Lumpur: PKR president Anwar Ibrahim said that the Budget 2021 will not be receiving full support in parliament if the government does not make changes to take care of the people.
His comments come in reply to Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz’s speech, in which it seemed he wasn’t securing bipartisan support as it did not incorporate demands made by Pakatan Harapan MPs.
He stated that there should not be easy assumptions over this, as the situation has now changed.
The opposition leader said that Muhyiddin Yassin’s government is fully aware that the Budget 2021 will not be backed in the parliament, if not amended for the well-being of the people.
He added that the demands made by Pakatan Harapan are for the betterment of people.
He said this in his debate about the Supply bill 2021.
