Kuala Lumpur: Bukti Aman has summoned Anwar Ibrahim to record his statement over a list of MPs who are purportedly supporting him as the next prime minister that was leaked.
Berita Harian reported Bukit Aman CID deputy director (investigation/legal) Mior Faridalathrash Wahid had asked him to present himself at the federal police headquarters at 3 pm.
This comes after a list of 121 MPs of parliament got leaked, whom Anwar claimed supported him to form a new government.
At least six police reports have been lodged against the Port Dickson MP, said the Federal CID director Huzir Mohamed.
Recently, Anwar claimed to have strong and formidable support from MPs. After which on Tuesday, he had a royal audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong over the same.
In a statement, he said he had presented documents for Agong to go through, however, Istana Negara confirmed not receiving any list.
