Kuala Lumpur: Footballer Muhammad Syafiq Ahmad who met with an tragic road accident has been given time to recover physically and mentally before rejoining the national squad. According to reports, Muhammad Syafiq, 25, who was driving a Toyata Vellfire multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) on his way was carrying his wife, Nur Amalina Nurain, 25, who was confined to his in-laws village in Pendang, Kedah.
The accident killed his mother-in-law and his 22-day newly born son along with one other person.
