“Corruption Could Not Be Condoned”, Ku Nan Gets One Year Jail Over RM2 Million Bribe

Kuala Lumpur: Former federal territory minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor has been punished with one-year imprisonment after being found guilty of RM2 million graft charges against him by the High Court on Monday.

In a statement, High Court Judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan said he failed to raise reasonable doubt in the prosecution case.

He was charged under Section 165 of the Penal Code for receiving RM2 million graft from businessman Chai Kin Kong, on 14 June 2016.

Announcing the judgment, High Court said the judge said corruption could not be condoned.

The sum was allegedly deposited into Tadmansori Holding Sdn Bhd’s account, in which the accused has an interest, and knowing that Aset Kayamas had connections with his official function.
