Dead Body Recovered From Submerged Car In Sabah

The dead body of a 62-year-old man has been recovered from a car that was submerged underwater in the sea at a water village in Sandakan district, Sabah. Sandakan Fire and Rescue Department chief Jimmy Lagung said that the department received a call at 5:44 am on Sunday informing about a submerged car in Kg Batu 7.

He said the team reached the location and had proceeded to pull the car out of the water. He further said his team noticed the victim’s body inside the vehicle while they were pulling it out.  

The victim is a 62-year-old man and has been identified as Thien Nyuk Kong. According to reports, he was seated in the driver’s seat.

Sandakan OCPD Abdul Fuad said the case is being further investigated and the police is looking for any foul play in the incident. The police is gathering information from villagers and possible witnesses to the incident
