Shakila Zen, who is a young environmentalist, likely to take a break from her activism after receiving an acid attack threat from an unknown person. Zen has filed a police report against the anonymous that had sent a parcel to her house recently, which had a letter—threatening of acid attack. This comes a day after the activist received lure messages on her WhatsApp from an unknown number.

According to reports, she had received sexual elements with attached a doctored picture of her, threatening to spread it on social media.
Zen believes she has been experiencing such incidents since one of her videos went viral on TikTok that linked to Lawan rally against the then government Muhyiddin Yassin.
Meanwhile, the youth coalition group ‘Sekretariat Solidarity Rakyat’ (SSR) has condemned the incident and said that this is highly unacceptable. SSR urged that women activists must raise voice against the incident and come out in solidarity with Shakula Zen.
SSR also clarified that Zen is not even a member of its group.
According to Malaysiakini, Klang Utara police have filed a case against an anonymous person and the matter is being investigated under section 506.
