The Prime Minister said in a reply that a probe against the former chairman of Tabung Haji fund is ongoing and appropriate action will be taken once the investigation is completed against him guilty in corruption charges. Azeez was arrested in 2018 by MACC after conducting a raid at his home.

Earlier on 30 November, Tabung Haji lodged two police reports, involving a Yayasan Tabung Haji 2017 programme where funds amounting to more than RM22 million were channelled for politically motivated activities.

YTH was among other humanitarian aid which channelled donations for the poor and needy. Tabung Haji had given RM7 million to the programme.

The second report was against Ismee, Hazlinda and Rifina related to alleged misrepresentations and withholding of material information involving TH’s 2012 sale of 95% shareholdings in PT TH Indo Plantations held by two of its subsidiaries.

According to the statement, PT TH Indo Plantations owns a total of 83,000 hectares of palm oil estates in Indonesia.
