Hadi Confirm To Police Summons for Speech Probe, Vows Full Cooperation

In a recent development, Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, the President of Pas, has substantiated that he will be cooperating with law enforcement authorities as they summon him to provide a statement regarding his speech during the Simpang Jeram by-election campaign in Johor. Hadi’s political secretary, Syahir Sulaiman, revealed that Bukit Aman had initiated contact in the morning to secure Hadi’s testimony. Emphasizing Hadi’s willingness to engage with the police, Sulaiman highlighted that the Islamist party leader had previously offered his statement to Bukit Aman, even surrendering the administrator’s mobile phone from his official Facebook account to aid investigations conducted by both the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

Sulaiman reiterated Hadi’s confidence in the professionalism of the authorities involved in carrying out their duties and the ongoing investigation.
