Melaka man stabs neighbour’s dog for barking

In a heart-breaking incident in Melaka, a 37-year-old man disemboweled his neighbour’s dog with a machete. The man allegedly snuck into his neighbour’s car porch and threatened the dog owner.

As the dog started to bark and sprint over the intruder, the man lost his temper and stabbed the dog furiously. The poor dog was rushed to the vet as the dog’s intestines spilled out and was still alive before it succumbed to its injuries a few hours later.

District police officer chief Deputy Superintendent reported that the 50-year-old housewife and dog owner heard her dog barking incessantly outside and peeked through her bedroom window to check on the dog.

“The Malaysia Animal Association hopes that the man will be brought to justice immediately by applying the Animal Welfare Act 2015, which provides a maximum fine of RM100,000.000 and a maximum jail term of three years if convicted,” the authorities added.
