Kuala Lumpur: M. Indira Gandhi is taking legal action against the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador, claiming RM100 million over his continued failure to retrieve her youngest daughter, M.Prasana Diksa.
Her team confirmed the reports, stating that Hamid failed to locate and return her daughter who was kidnapped by her ex-husband.
Indira’s daughter, Prasana Diksa, was taken by her ex-husband Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, known as K. Pathmanathan, before he converted to Islam in 2009 when she was just 11 months old.
He had also converted their three children to Islam without Indira’s knowledge. Despite the orders, police have yet to recover Prasana and return her to Indira.
She stated she will be filing a lawsuit tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur high court. However, she said she will continue with her justice walk on 26 November.
