M Indira Gandhi will walk 350km in 12 days to deliver a letter to the Prime Minister and Yang di-Pertuan Agong, seeking justice, after a legal battle over daughters custody.
She will be accompanied by her action team. In a statement, her team announced that details of the walk would be shared at a press conference tomorrow.
They stated that the team and Indira are taking the plea for justice to the Prime Minister. They described it as a justice walk from the North to the parliament.
Indira’s daughter, Prasana Diksa, was taken by her ex-husband Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, known as K. Pathmanathan, before he converted to Islam in 2009 when she was just 11 months old.
He had also converted their three children to Islam without Indira’s knowledge. Despite the orders, police have yet to recover Prasana and return her to Indira.
Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador said he is trying to bring them back to the nation.
