KL Court Allows Rosmah Mansor’s Passport For Singapore Trip

The Kuala Lumpur High Court today allowed the temporary release of Najib Razak’s wife Rosmah Mansor passport for her Singapore trip. She had applied to have her passport on the grounds that she needs to be with her pregnant daughter Nooryana Najwa, who is in Singapore. Rosmah’s passport was seized in 2019 following corruption charges against her.

Rosmah in her application stated that she needs to be there with her daughter to provide mental and emotional support as her daughter Nooryana has a history of complications during delivery.

High Court judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan agreed to release the passport after Prosecution told the court that they don’t have any objection regarding Rosmah’s passport provided it does not interfere with trial dates or delay hearings.

The wife of former Prime Minister Najib Razak is facing several corruption charges for receiving RM6.5 million as a bribe to help Jepak Holding get RM1.25 billion tender to install and maintain solar hybrid and diesel generators for 369 schools in Sarawak.
