Another river pollution has occurred, causing a water cut to parts of the Klang Valley, which will affect 274 areas and 309,687 account users.

After pollution was detected in Sungai Semenyih, the Sungai Semenyih and Bukit Tampoi water treatment plants stopped operating.

Last month, odour pollution in Sungai Gong caused water disruption, which affected nearly 1.2 million people.

In a statement, Air Selangor said they cannot say when the water supply would resume.

It urged consumers to check Air Selangor app and website as well as its social media for updates.
