According to Astro Awani, after several hours of reports being lodged by the victim at the Padang Besar District Police Station, the suspect was arrested at 11.30 am the same day at his house in Kampung Datuk Kayaman with the African Gray Parrot.

The authority said that the inspection of the marking number on the bird’s foot found that it was the same as the marking number found in the license from the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) which had been issued to the owner.

The market value of the parrots involved was estimated at RM3,300.
