Man Steals Police Car For His ‘Love’, Held With His Girlfriend In Shah Alam

Kuala Lumpur: In a bizarre move, a police patrol car was stolen in Seberang Perai last night by two brothers and drove it on a joyride to Shah Alam to impress a girlfriend.

The two suspected brothers, aged between 28 and 32 claimed to be policemen from the information technology resource division, who were there to check on the new Honda civic 1.8S vehicles camera fixed on the dashboard.

The robbery was so clean that the police Sergeant only released this after they could not contact them for almost half an hour and the car had not returned to the headquarters.

It is believed that after they robbed the police car, the 32-year-old, then picked up his girlfriend at Tasek Gelugor and had even planned to rob a grocery store.

The car was recovered from Shah Alam, where police detained a male and his 20-year-old girlfriend.

According to the police investigation, one of the suspects has a criminal record, who was nabbed for stealing electric cables on 15 October.
