Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has said that only one candidate from the party will fight for one seat in the upcoming general election. During the third Bersatu annual general meeting yesterday, he said that the party cannot stay alone and that they will need other parties to go for election and form a government.
He pointed out that Bersatu may win seats but won’t be able to form a government for that they will need other parties.
He said this during the third Bersatu annual general meeting, which was the first to be held since the party joined PN.
He described the rift between UMNO and Bersatu as a call from God for the Malays and Muslims to unite. Adding that many, including himself, were a part of UMNO, however, it is all past.
He further added that it’s time to help people affected by the pandemic and stop politicking. However, this is the time to serve the people and for Bersatu to rise to the occasion.
