Parliament To Reconvene On July 26 For 5 Day Session

The Parliament, in all likelihood, will reconvene on July 26. The Prime Minister’s Office today said that PM Muhyiddin Yassin will advise the King to reconvene Parliament on July 26. Muhyiddin Yassin will advise the king to call for a five-day Dewan Rakyat sitting. The sittings will be held from July 26 to July 29 and on Aug 2. The Prime Minister will also advise the King to convene Dewan Negara will sit for three days from Aug 3 to 5.

There was much deliberation and controversy over the prolonged suspension of the parliament. The King had opined that the Parliament must reconvene as soon as possible.
