PN Must Surrender Peacefully Over 2021 Budget ‘Fail’: Opposition

Kuala Lumpur: Amanah Deputy President Salahuddin Ayub asked the Perikatan Nasional government to surrender peacefully if they fail to attain support for Budget 2021 in the Parliament.

In his parliamentary debate over the Budget 2021, he said MPs in parliament including former prime minister Najib Rajak and Pakatan Harapan, had put several conditions in return for their support.

“If the Budget fails, do you want to meet Yang di-Pertuan Agong again and ask for another state of emergency or dissolve the parliament? What would be the story then? he said.

He proposed that they must surrender peacefully if they lose and make way for other worthy MPs.

Pulai MP also said implementing a state of emergency was also a failed attempt of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin that was rejected by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on 25 October.

He even raised the question that the government’s decision to give Jasa RM85.5 million is not the time to play racial and religious politics.

Budget 2021, which was proposed by the ruling Perikatan Nasional, is set for a parliamentary voting session on 25 November.
