Police arrested a 45-year-old businessman in Ampang for allegedly raping his daughter at his home. Police said that the accused father was raping her daughter for the past one year.
The office cleaning service company owner, who has been booked for raping, sodomising, and molesting his 14-year-old daughter, has also been charged with an additional nine counts of sexual offences today.
The arrested pleaded ‘not guilty’ when the charge against him was read out by an interpreter before Judge Nor Hazani Hamzah in the legal proceeding today.
The man was arrested when police learned that a 14-year-old girl was caught breaching the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and running away from home due to her father’s misbehavior.
The charges against him was made in accordance with Section 377C of the Penal Code and Section 14 (a) of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017, read in union with Section 16 (1) of the same act, which provides for a maximum jail term of 20 years and physically punishing.
