Priest Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Several Disabled Men In Penang

Kuala Lumpur: A 54-year-old Korean priest in Penang was arrested today after police reports were lodged against him for molestation. He is accused of molesting several disabled men. According to reports, He was detained from a church at 8:30 pm after police reports were lodged by many victims.

Penang police chief Sahabudin Abd Manan said he had received reports from many deaf and dumb victims, including two in Seberang Perai Utara (SPU). Adding that the same incident was reported in other states as well.

The priest, who is also deaf and dumb, has been remanded for four days to investigate Section 354 of the Penal Code.

Police also recovered a mobile phone from him. It is believed that he used to molest his victims in their homes or cars in the past few years.

Meanwhile, Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) police chief ACP Noorzainy Mohd Noor said they arrested a man who set his motorcycle on fire and wanted to kill his parents.

The 24-year-old man’s parents refused to give him money, after which he threatened to hurt his neighbours. He wanted the money to buy himself drugs, however, after a urine test, he was found positive for methamphetamine.
