PM Muhyiddin Launches New Initiative To Boost Tourism Sector

Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin launched the National Tourism Policy (DPN) 2020 to 2030 with special policies to revive Malaysia’s tourism sector. He said the policies’ aim is to restore and preserve the country’s tourism industry. The initiative was virtually launched on Wednesday morning.

He announced six significant strategies namely governance transformation, creating an inclusive tourism investment zone and intensifying tourism digitisation, enriching the experience and satisfaction of tourists, strengthening commitment to sustainable tourism, and increasing the capacity of human capital in all tourism sub-sectors.

Muhyiddin said that Malaysia can once again become a preferred destination for global visitors by strengthening competitiveness, sustainable and inclusive tourism sector development, and future disaster preparedness.
