Kuala Lumpur: Police today arrested a reality show star for allegedly raping a 23-old-woman in his condominium unit last year. It is believed that the victim and the suspect knew each other through social media accounts, after which on 11 September 2019 the two decided to meet to discuss over the treatment for depression at the Islamic medical.
According to reports, the 25-year-old took the victim to his condominium unit in Section 7, after visiting an eatery in Batu 3 Shah Alam.
District Police chief ACP Baharudin Mat Taib said the woman told him she was asked to keep her mouth shut and never to mention the incident with anybody before she took an e-hailing cab to go back to her house in Subang Jaya.
Later, on 23 September 2019, the woman was admitted to the Kajang Hospital, as she was suffering from severe emotional stress and was undergoing psychiatric treatment. Adding that she then went to her native house in Triang, Pahang, to continue with her treatment at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh.
Baharudin further added that the case is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code.
