Yet another UMNO leader has resigned amid political tussle with the Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. Rosni Sohar, who is also the UMNO Supreme Council (SC) member, has announced on Sunday that she has quit her position as the member of the management board of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN). As of now, a total of three UMNO ministers have resigned from PN’s camp since Ahmad Zahid Hamidi led party decided to withdraw support for PM Muhyiddin Yassin.

Announcing her resignation, Rosni Sohar said that she quit her position in line with party decision. “As a member of MT UMNO, I am also loyal and obedient to the decision made by the party,” she said in her statement.
According to her, UMNO is a sacred party that fights for and supports the order of the Agong as the Constitutional King as enshrined in the foundation and purpose of UMNO.
Earlier, on Friday, Noraini Ahmad had resigned from the National Alliance (PN) cabinet by as higher education minister.
