A senior citizen was killed after being hit by a suspected drug peddler’s car during a police shootout. The driver was on a run from the police when he hit the man, 61. The driver was stopped by a police patrol team, but he sped away, following which, the police opened fire on him. The victim was declared dead. The police caught the hold of the suspect and has seized 13 grams of heroin from him.

The incident took place at the Jalan P Ramlee-Jalan Perak traffic light when policemen were trying to stop the suspect.
The suspect was seen in a suspicious condition when passing a traffic light between Jalan P Ramlee and Jalan Perak.
Police said that said that the man sped off after he was stopped by the police.
“While passing through Jalan Perak near the morning market, the suspect hit a 61 -year -old man who was crossing the road causing the victim to die at the location,” authorities said in a statement.
Police said the suspect’s dangerous action caused his members to fire three shots at the right tire and another shot at the front of the car.
The suspect was detained at the scene. During the investigation, police found three packets of heroin weighing 13 grams from the suspect.
