Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yakoob showed gratitude towards his wife, Muhaini Zainal Abidin, for supporting and standing by him in all these years through tough and good times. Ismail shared a photo on Facebook, the picture showed Muhaini fastening the button of his shirt before he goes to take the oath of prime ministership Istana Negara.
He captioned the photo: “My wife has been by my side since I got to know her when I was 19. I entered politics in 1986 at the age of 26 and only then started a family.”

Ismail Sabri was appointed as the 9th prime minister of the country by Agong this week on Friday after Muhyiddin Yassin resigned from his post.
UMNO vice president Islamil Sabri, who was the Deputy PM under the Muhyiddin Yassin government, secured 114 MPs support out of the 222 parliament members.
Meanwhile, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong congratulated Ismail Sabri and invited him to pay his visit to Singapore. During the phone call, both prime ministers discussed ways to further strengthening relationships between both countries.
