Kuala Lumpur: A Hindu family, that has been living in a car over the past eight months, finally got a three BHK apartment after a preacher and philanthropist Ustaz Ebit Lew came out to rescue the family.
The family received help after several local media reported a pathetic story of a five-member family, that was forced to live in a car after their house was destroyed in April due to fire in Lebuh Carnavon, in Georgetown.
Ebit Lew, a social worker, who came forward to rescue the family, said on his Facebook page that he offered a three-room house to Mr Ganesh, who is a father of three children and works as a guard.
Sharing the picture on social media, Ustaz Ebit Lew said that he has gifted a Fridge, Washing machine, TV, Rice Cooker, Kitchen, Fan, Queen 1 Bed, Single 2, Kitchen stuff and spending money.
Meanwhile, Penang government has also confirmed that Mr Ganesh will get his rental government-home that he had earlier applied to get his home but was not getting any reply from authorities.
