Two MPs Raised Confidence Motion For Muhyiddin Yassin, While 25 Voted Against

Kuala Lumpur: Two parliamentary MPs mooted a confidence motion in support of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, while 25 MPs raised a no-confidence motion against him for the Nov 2 parliamentary seat.

Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil said a copy of all the motions filed and questions raised will be sent to all MPs, although this is a matter of change.

The two MPs who mooted the confidence motion for Muhyiddin are Shahidan Kassim ( BN-Arau ) and Nik Muhammad Zawami Salleh (PAS-Pasir Puteh).

The no-confidence motion was raised by Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his four aligned lawmakers, seven Warisan MPs, 11 from Amanah, one PKR MP and one from DAP.

Parliament will debate any of these motions during the Budget 2021 debate, which is scheduled for 9 November.

The lower house will first debate the Corporate Act, and then a bill to form an independent Police Conduct Commission.
