Kuala Lumpur: BN secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa revealed that UMNO, Barisan and Muafakat will have a series of meetings together to discuss the formation of the Perak government.
He said that UMNO supreme council will have a meeting today, while Barisan supreme council has scheduled it for tomorrow; while the UN Consultative Council will meet Wednesday night, adding, that it might be possible that the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Presidential Council will also meet.
In a Twitter post, he said that the parties are stronger together, so he “hopes that this will be resolved in the best possible way.”
In the morning, Perak Umno chief Datuk Saarani Mohamad confirmed that he will be present in today’s meeting, which will be chaired by UMNO president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Earlier, Ahmad Faizal Azumu tendered his resignation as Perak Menteri Besar, a day after he lost a vote of confidence in the State Assembly sitting.
Perak Speaker Mohammad Zahir Abdul Kalid announced that out of the 59 assemblypersons, 10 voted for the motion, 48 voted against, and one abstained.
