Tanjung Karang MP Noh Omar, whose name featured in the list of 31 MPs who backed PM Muhyiddin Yassin earlier today, has denied pledging support to Perikatan Nasional.
Noh Omar said that he had attended the meeting and had signed only as a gesture of marking his attendence. However, he said, he had no idea that the list would be used a gesture of support to PM Muhyiddin Yassin.

Further, Nor Omar categorically denied support to Muhyiddin Yassin.
Earlier today, 31 MPs, in a joint press conference, said that the decision to revoke support has been taken by UMNO’s Supreme Council, and it doesn’t have a bearing on the MPs.
The MPs, through their declaration, broke ranks with the coalition’s chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
The alliance MPs’ pledge gives boost to PM Muhyiddin Yassin who was earlier seemed to be in trouble, following revocation of UMNO’s support for him.
