Popular preacher Ustaz Ebit Lew and his wife were once again called by the police yesterday to assist with the investigation into sexual harassment. Both arrived at the Royal Malaysia Police Headquarters (PDRM) on Thursday. Earlier, the investigation against Ebit Lew, 37, was carried out after the police received reports from several individuals alleging that the preacher had committed sexual harassment.

The Director of Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has confirmed the news and said that preacher and his wife were called to assist in the matter.
“The public is advised not to issue any statement and disseminate any material on any platform to avoid any speculation and provocation to the detriment of the police investigation,” the director said in a statement today.
Following the report, the police opened an investigation paper under Section 509 of the Penal Code, Section 14 of the Minor Offenses Act 1955 and Section 23 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
Earlier, on August 19, Ebit Lew was called by the police to record evidence regarding the spread of sexual harassment videos linked to the preacher.
