Beyonce and Jay-Z’s daughter, Blue Carter created history by becoming the youngest MTV Video Music Award winner. The 9-year-old took home the award for Best Cinematography for the song “Brown Skin Girl.” The title is being shared with collaborators Wizkid, Saint Jhn and Beyonce.

Other nominees for the award included Billie Eilish for “Therefore I Am”, Foo Fighters “Shame Shame”, Justin Bieber’s “Holy”, Lady Gaga “911”, and Lorde’s “Solar Power.” Earlier this year in March, Blue Ivy also won the Best Music Video category for “Brown Skin Girl” at the Grammys alongside her mother Beyonce. She has also won two Soul Train Music Awards, an NAACP Image Award and a BET Her Award for the same song.
Benoit Soler, Malik H. Sayeed, Mohammaed Atta Ahmed, Santiago Gonzalez and Ryan Helfant are the cinematographers for the video. The song “Brown Skin Girl” is on Beyonce’s Lion King companion album, The Lion King: The Gift.
