Britney Spears is finally in control of her business after a judge suspended her father Jamie Spears from his 13-year long role as the conservator. Judge Brenda Penny has suspended Jamie Spears from his conservatorship role with immediate effect and he will be temporarily replaced by an accountant.

The Los Angeles Superior Court Judge said, “The current situation is not tenable. It reflects a toxic environment which requires the suspension of Jamie Spears effective today.” The judge has also set a November date for a hearing on whether to fully terminate the controversial conservatorship.
This comes after Britney pleaded for her father’s removal in a court hearing, saying, “I want my life back.” Britney’s lawyer had filed a petition to have her father removed. “Every day that goes by with him as conservator, every day and every hour, is one in which he caused his daughter anguish and pain,” the plea stated.
