Rihanna just became one of the richest celebrities in the world, according to Forbes. The pop-star’s fortune hit a record $1.7 Billion, making her the second world’s richest female entertainer after the media mogul Oprah Winfrey. Rihanna’s latest boost in wealth comes primarily from her Fenty beauty cosmetic company, which she started in a joint venture with LVMH.

While, the 33-year-old, Barbadian artist has by far sold 250 million music records globally, it was Rihanna’s makeup brand that pushed her into the billionaire’s club. Forbes estimates that as much as $1.4 billion of the artist’s wealth comes from Fenty beauty.
The brand sends a message of inclusivity, and has more than 40 shades of foundation for all range of skin tones, which was something that at the time, not many cosmetic lines had. Fenty Beauty is a 50-50 joint venture with luxury goods conglomerate LVMH.
The multi-talented artist has also found success in the lingerie industry. Her Savage × Fenty line raised $270 million. However, Fenty’s luxury clothing line was shut down earlier this year.
