The VRP, often referred to as a bug bounty program, compensates ethical hackers for identifying and responsibly disclosing security flaws in Google’s systems. To tackle this challenge, Google formed an AI Red Team, composed of expert hackers tasked with emulating a diverse range of adversaries, including nation-states, government-backed groups, hacktivists, and malicious insiders. Recently, this team conducted an extensive analysis of potential threats related to generative AI products such as ChatGPT and Google Bard.
