69 Members Of Six Families Arrest For Drug Trafficking In Kota Kinabalu

Kuala Lumpur: At least 69 members of the six families were arrested on the charge of drug trafficking cases and sale syndicate activities around Kota Kinabalu. Police said that all the suspects were between 20 to 66 years old.

Kota Kinabalu District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Habibi Majinji, who confirmed the incident, said that all of them were arrested on 8 January 2020.

According to him, all the suspects are locals consisting of a married couple, two sons, a daughter and their son-in-law.

During the raid, Habibi revealed that they have found three packets of syabu weighing 150.36 grams hidden in the rear bonnet of a vehicle belonging to a local man.

“The 37-year-old suspect was arrested around 7.35pm at the Kampung Sembulan Tengah housing flat and is suspected of being involved in drug trafficking activities,” he said.
