Kuala Lumpur: Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said that UMNO must return to power with a new strategy by giving chance to new and young blood people into the party. The veteran leader believes that Malaysian won’t feel safe unless UMNO back to power.
The 83-year-old leader, who is affectionately known as Ku Li, has said that the majority of the Malaysians want UMNO to hold the power. He said that the party has to get into the fray with a new strategy and plans.
Younger people can play an important role and the party must give them responsibility in order to come back to power, he said in an interview on Facebook with the National Professor Council.
Focusing on the re-organising the party’s old structure, the longest-serving elected representative of Malaysia further said that Malaysian will be disappointed if UMNO fails to gain power.
“The country will always be restless if UMNO is not in power”, he said in interview.
