Umno Leader Lokman Adam Arrested For Allegedly Threatening PM Muhyiddin Yassin

Kuala Lumpur: Umno leader Datuk Lokman Noor Adam has been arrested for allegedly threatening prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin in a Facebook video on Sunday.

He was arrested soon after uploading his video on Facebook, wherein he was discussing the upcoming budget that is scheduled to be tabled on 6 November.

Bukit Aman also confirmed that Lokman was detained for one-day under Section 506 of the Penal Code which deals criminal intimidation and two other laws.

Lokman, who uploaded a video entitled ‘Every MP will be bribed with a RM3 million allocation if the 2021 Budget is approved? Is this for real?”,  said that he was detained in the charge of criminal intimidation by police.

Authorities said that an arrest was made after a complaint was filed against former Umno supreme council member and investigation is being carried out against him.
