Blackpink Slammed For “Sexually Objectifying” Nurses In Latest Track

Blackpink’s parent company YG Entertainment has confirmed editing of “Lovesick Girls” track after receiving reprisal from Korean Medical Union for allegedly objectifying nurses.

The video in question showed group members decked in a “Sexy Nurse” costume.

YG Entertainment issued an apology on Wednesday after the Korean Health and Medical Worker’s Union objected that the costume perpetuated hyper-sexualised stereotype for the nursing profession.

“While working on the music video for a long time, we did not expect this issue to be raised because (the scenes) had no specific intention to them. We feel greatly responsible for this and will consider it an opportunity to deeply learn,” said YG Entertainment based on translations by Soompi.
