TWICE — a K-pop group of nine singing divas — is on top of the charts ever since they have released their latest album ‘Taste Of Love’ on June 11.
The albums title track ‘Alcohol-Free’, is getting so much love from their Malaysian audience, especially the youth that loves Korean pop music. The song has clocked over 60 million views within four days of its release. And, to no one’s surprise, there’s no stopping on the views.
History of TWICE
TWICE is a group of nine artists – Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu. These nine singers, interestingly, had initially competed against one another during their appearance on the Mnet reality TV competition Sixteen. However, no one knew that the girls would be on top of the K-pop world one day.
TWICE came up with their first album in late-2015. The mini-album was titked “The Story Begins” and was moderately successful.
The title track was named ‘Like Ooh-Ahh’. TWICE’s first big break came in 2016 when their songs ‘Cheer Up’ and ‘TT’ topped the chart.
There was no turning back as the group went ahead with a string of number one in 2017 and 2018. Today, the group, with around 10 hit albums, is the most recognised names in South Korea’s entertainment industry.
