At least 2 people killed and several others were injured in a massive blast outside a mosque in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Sunday. According to reports, the incident took place at the Eidgah mosque, where hundreds of people had arrived for a prayer ceremony for Mujahid’s mother. This is the second major blast since the Taliban seized the power from a democratic government.

According to reports, the explosion rocked the main entrance gate of Eidgah mosque, which is one of the largest mosques in Kabul.
Speaking with local media, an eyewitness has said that several gunshots were also heard after the attack.
Several social media footage showed that emergency services can be seen in a large number at the scene.
As of now, no one has taken responsibility for the attack.
Last month, on August 26 August, more than 170 people died in a series of terror attacks in Kabul’s Hamid Karzai Airport. The attacks were targeted by Islamic State– Khorasan claimed against its rival group the Taliban for shaking hands with the US.
