Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani has resigned after Taliban militants entered Kabul. According to sources, the Afghan government has surrendered to the Taliban, while the country is preparing for a change of power.
Taliban and Afghanistan came to this conclusion after a meeting at the Presidential palace. With Taliban militants taking over all border posts leading to Kabul, the Afghanistan government is left with no choice but to surrender peacefully.

Earlier, the Taliban had captured key Afghan mega cities including Hairat, Mazar-i-Sharif, Jalalabad, and Ghazni. After which they issued a statement revealing that they have no intention to capture the capital city by force.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s acting Interior Minister Abdul Sattar Mirzakwal has announced that the transfer of power between the two will happen peacefully and that the Taliban will not attack Kabul.
