Dilip Kumar, Indian Bollywood Legend, Dies At 98

Dilip Kumar, the Indian Bollywood actor, has passed away in Mumbai at a private hospital on Wednesday. He had been hospitalised over the past week due to age-related problems. Dilip Kumar, who worked with more than 65 films, was one of the finest actors in Indian film history. He debuted in 1944 with ‘Jwar Bhata ‘ film. He was 98 years old. He survived by his wife Saira Bano.

Indian legend Dilip Kumar died in Mumbai at Hinduja Hospital in the early hours of Wednesday.  He was taken to the hospital last week on 29 June due to a breathing problem. He was in ICU and was on a ventilator since the referred to the hospital.

Dilip Kumar, who born in 1922 in Pakistan’s Peshawar, was the first ‘Khan’ of the Hindi cinema. His real name was Mohammad Yusuf Khan.

The legend also awarded with Nishan-e-Imtiaz—Pakistan’s highest civilian award.
