US’ cloud service provider Fastly is being touted as the reason for the Global internet outage. A global outage of the website of an organisation majorly headquartered in the United States went down today. Fastly, a global player in cloud computing — that provides server load to the websites, said it was investigating “the potential impact to performance with our CDN services,” according to its website.

As per the website, most of Fastly’s coverage areas were facing “Degraded Performance”. The Fastly, in a Twitter post, later said that it has identified the issue and has even fixed. Here’s what Fastly said: “We identified a service configuration that triggered disruptions across our POPs globally and have disabled that configuration. Our global network is coming back online.
