Iran’s Supreme Leader Vows Revenge Over Slain Scientist

Kuala Lumpur: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has vowed that the country will take revenge against those were behind in the killing of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Khamenei’s statement comes days after Iran’s top scientist was assassinated in an ambush outskirts of national capital Tehran. Iran has blamed its rival country Israel for this act.

Khamenei wrote on Twitter that retaliation will take place against the perpetrators and those behind the killing of the top scientist. He also urged Iranian nuclear scientists to follow Fakhrizadeh’s path in which he was active in his field.

“He lost his life for God and the supreme leader. God shall reward him greatly,” he added in his tweet.

Fakhrizadeh, who was the mastermind behind Iran’s nuclear program, was also known as the father ”Iranian Nuclear Programme”.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who directly held responsible Israel, said that it was the ”state sponsor terror act”.
