Jacob Tjon, a contestant for Mr World Singapore 2020’s body was found floating in Marina Reservoir near Promontory on 19 October. The 26-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. It is believed that the cause of death was drowning, however, investigations are still ongoing. Mr Jacob Tjon was a final year student at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He was studying Chemistry and Biological Chemistry. Aside from that, he was one of the finalists for this year’s Mr World Singapore.
He was an entrepreneur too, and was the CEO of the creative animation studio, SocialArchh.His mother, Madam Ong said he was very excited to join the pageant. She shared some good memories of her son and said they shared a very close relationship, while he always wanted the best for the family.
